The IK Multimedia iLoud MTM MKII Studio Monitors are compact yet highly accurate active studio monitors designed for critical listening, mixing and mastering in professional and home studio environments. These monitors are designed to provide a true, uncolored representation of audio material with a linear frequency response of 48 Hz to 24 kHz (±2 dB), ensuring honest and analytical reproduction without artificial sound coloration.
Each monitor features a two-way MTM configuration, in which a 1-inch silk tweeter is positioned between two 3.5-inch composite drivers. Thanks to this design, the monitors maintain a consistent sound even at a wider listening position.
The amplification is entrusted to Class-D amplifiers with a total power of 100 W RMS per monitor, optimally distributed between low and high frequencies. This allows the iLoud MTM MKII to reach high sound pressure levels of up to 110.5 dB peak, without compromising on detail or control over dynamics. The low frequencies are dense and tight, the mids are clear and analytical, and the highs, clean and unobtrusive, making them a reliable tool for mixing and final balance.
A frequency response of 48 Hz to 24 kHz with minimal distortion ensures honest reproduction, while an extended range to 36 Hz allows for a better understanding of sub-bass energy. Built-in digital processing offers fine-tuning of low and high frequencies, as well as corrections in problem areas, making it easy to adapt to different acoustic spaces.
A particular strength of the iLoud MTM MKII is the automatic acoustic calibration, implemented via the included measurement microphone. The system analyzes the room and optimizes the frequency response to the actual conditions, which is an invaluable feature when working in small rooms. Connectivity is geared towards professional applications, with a balanced XLR/¼" combo input for audio interfaces and an additional 3.5mm input for quick reference listening.
