Description
The ADAM Audio T7V is an active two-way studio monitor designed for users who need a wider low-frequency range and higher headroom than compact models, without having to upgrade to significantly larger and heavier systems. It is positioned as a universal solution for small and medium-sized studios, home production spaces and workstations that require precision in mixing and arranging, but also enough energy in the low frequencies.
The monitor uses a 7-inch woofer with a polypropylene cone, which provides a tight, controlled and well-defined bass. Thanks to this larger cone, the T7V reaches a frequency range of up to 39 Hz, which allows for a better appreciation of the low register without the need for a subwoofer. This is especially important when working with electronic music, hip-hop, pop and sound design, where low frequencies play a key role.
The high-frequency range is handled by ADAM Audio’s signature Air Motion Transformer tweeter, which offers fast response and high detail. It reproduces frequencies up to 25 kHz and contributes to the clarity of vocals, synths and spatial effects. The 2.6 kHz crossover ensures a smooth and well-balanced transition between low and high frequencies, without noticeable overlap or gaps in the spectrum.
The amplifier section is fully active and split with a 50 W Class-D amplifier for the low frequencies and a 20 W Class-D amplifier for the high frequencies, with a total output power of 70 W. This provides sufficient dynamic headroom and a maximum sound pressure of up to 110 dB SPL (peak), which allows operation at higher levels without significant distortion. The overall THD remains around 0.5%, which is suitable for critical monitoring.
The cabinet features a bass-reflex design and a rear port optimized for efficient low-frequency reproduction. Available HF and LF shelf adjustments allow for adaptation of the sound to the room, positioning relative to walls or working distance. This facilitates the integration of the T7V into a variety of acoustic environments.
Connectivity includes a balanced XLR input for professional audio interfaces and an unbalanced RCA input for simpler configurations. The monitor is supplied as a single unit and is designed for vertical positioning. With its size and weight, the ADAM Audio T7V offers a good balance between compactness and extended frequency response, making it a reliable tool for precise studio work.
