The Kali Audio IN-8 V2 3-Way Coincident Studio Monitor features a three-channel configuration with Class D amplification for each speaker (tri-amping) and a total power of 160 W (60 W for the woofer and 40 W each for the midrange and tweeter). Design and speakers
The IN-8 V2 features an 8" subwoofer, a coaxial 4" midrange driver, and a 1" fabric dome tweeter with a point source. This architecture eliminates off-axis woofer distortion and provides maximum acoustic accuracy. The mid-range diaphragm driver also serves as a waveguide for the tweeter, providing even sound distribution in all directions and minimal distortion.
Acoustic performance
The frequency response spectrum covers 37 Hz to 25 kHz (-10 dB) and 45 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB). The port design is optimized through airflow simulation to preserve low, accurate bass. Total harmonic distortion below 1% at 85 dB and a maximum SPL of up to 117 dB provide flexibility when working in a variety of studio environments.
Configuration and setup
The monitor features a rear panel area with DIP switches for boundary EQ — three positions for different distances from a wall or desk, as well as HF/LF trim settings. This allows the sound to be adapted to the acoustics of the room, without the need for external DSP. XLR, balanced TRS and RCA inputs are available.
