The KALI AUDIO IN-UNF active studio monitor is a complete professional nearfield monitoring package that includes a center bass module and two active monitors, ready for immediate use without the need for an external interface or amplifier. The system is part of Kali Audio's Independent Nearfield (IN) series and represents a unique engineering solution that combines acoustic accuracy, an integrated bass module and flexible positioning options, all in an extremely compact and elegant form factor.
The IN-UNF (Ultra Near Field) system is an intelligent configuration of a central subwoofer module with a built-in DSP amplifier and two coaxial satellites that are positioned at ear level for extremely accurate stereo imaging. Each satellite has a 4-inch speaker combining a mid- and high-frequency driver on a common axis, which eliminates phase distortion and ensures clarity even when listening close (0.5–1.5 m).
At the heart of the system is a biamplified Class D amplifier with DSP control, optimized for maximum accuracy and linearity. The frequency range from 39 Hz to 25 kHz guarantees deep, controlled bass and detailed high-frequency spectrum. The central module uses two 4.5-inch subwoofer drivers, directed at different angles, for even acoustic pressure and minimal resonances in the room.
The system supports Room EQ profiles that compensate for reflections based on placement – on a desk, near a wall, or in an open space. Adjustments are easily made via the built-in control panel.
The IN-UNF offers impressive connectivity flexibility, from a USB-C input for direct connection to a computer (no external interface required), balanced TRS inputs, unbalanced RCA connectors for multimedia devices, to Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless playback with minimal latency, making the system a versatile solution for any professional or creative workflow.
Despite its compact size, the system maintains a maximum sound pressure level of approximately 103 dB SPL without compromising on accuracy or dynamics. The acoustic design and DSP optimization ensure neutral frequency balance and precise positioning of instruments in the mix.
