Description
The ADAM Audio T10S Active Studio Monitor is an active studio subwoofer designed as a natural complement to the T-Series monitors, but also fully applicable in other studio configurations where a deeper and controlled low-frequency range is required. The model is aimed at producers, mix engineers and sound designers who work in small to medium-sized studios and want reliable control over the sub-bass range without overloading the room.
At the heart of the T10S is a 10-inch paper cone woofer with a 1.5" voice coil, driven by a 130 W RMS Class-D amplifier. This configuration allows for stable reproduction of low frequencies down to 28 Hz, which provides a clear view of content below the frequency range of standard nearfield monitors. The bass is dense but controlled, without unnecessary "bloat", which is critical when mixing and balancing low frequencies.
The subwoofer covers a frequency range of 28 Hz to 120 Hz (±6 dB) and features a switchable crossover at 80 Hz and 120 Hz. This allows for easy matching with various sizes of studio monitors – from compact 5-inch to larger 7- and 8-inch systems. The phase flip capability (0° / 180°) facilitates proper alignment with satellite monitors and minimizes phase problems in the crossover area.
The maximum sound pressure of 104 dB SPL is sufficient for nearfield and midfield applications, while maintaining control and low distortion - THD around 0.6%. This makes the T10S suitable not only for music production, but also for video, post-production and multimedia projects, where low frequencies play an important role.
The connectivity is flexible and professional. Balanced XLR inputs and outputs, as well as unbalanced RCA inputs and outputs, are available, allowing the subwoofer to be integrated into both professional studio circuits and simpler setups. The outputs allow for easy “passing” of the signal to monitors, without the need for an external crossover or additional controller.
The cabinet features a bass-reflex design optimized for efficient low-frequency reproduction and is designed for vertical positioning. The power supply operates over a wide range of 100–240 V, making it suitable for a variety of studio environments. Weighing in at 12.2 kg and with a robust construction, the ADAM Audio T10S is a reliable tool for expanding low-frequency control in any modern studio.
