The Audient EVO 4 SRB Kit is a complete recording and monitoring solution designed for users who want to get started right away with a well-balanced and technically sound kit. The kit combines the EVO 4 USB audio interface with the EVO SR1 condenser microphone and the EVO SR2000 monitor headphones.
At the heart of the kit is the Audient EVO 4, a compact 2-in, 2-out USB audio interface that operates at resolutions up to 96 kHz / 24-bit. It features two combined XLR/¼" TRS mic/line inputs with preamps up to 58 dB gain and extremely low self-noise below -128 dB EIN. Individually switchable 48 V phantom power allows direct operation with condenser microphones, including the included EVO SR1. The available Hi-Z input with 1 MΩ impedance allows direct connection of an electric guitar or bass without an external DI box.
A key feature of the EVO 4 is its automatic input level control, which analyzes the input signal and sets the optimal gain without clipping. This is especially useful for vocal recordings, podcasts and streaming, where quick setup is critical. The A/D and D/A converters offer a dynamic range of around 113 dBA, ensuring clean and transparent sound for recording and monitoring.
The EVO SR1 Microphone is a condenser microphone with a 0.55" back electret capsule, optimized for vocals, speech, and acoustic instruments. The supercardioid polar pattern provides effective rejection of side and rear noise, making it suitable for use in less acoustically treated rooms. The frequency range from 20 Hz to 18 kHz provides a balanced and natural sound, without aggressive peaks in the high frequencies. The microphone can operate with both 5 V and 48 V phantom power, making it compatible with a wide range of audio interfaces. The included shockmount effectively reduces stand noise and vibration, improving recording clarity.
Monitoring in the set is entrusted to the EVO SR2000 Monitoring Headphones, closed, on-ear headphones designed for recording control and listening without the penetration of external noise. The closed design provides good isolation, which is especially important when recording with a microphone in the same room. The dynamic 40 mm drivers cover a frequency range of 15 Hz to 22 kHz, providing clear and detailed sound for monitoring. The headphones come with a straight cable, 3.5 mm jack and ¼" adapter, making them compatible with both the EVO 4 and other studio devices.
