The Audient EVO 4 is a compact USB audio interface designed for users looking for a fast, intuitive, and technically sound way to record at professional quality. The model is aimed at musicians, podcasters, streamers, and content creators who work in a home or mobile environment and need reliable sound without complicated setup.
The interface features two combo XLR/¼" TRS mic/line inputs, each with a preamp offering up to 58 dB of gain. These preamps are designed for low noise and stable headroom, with an EIN value of less than -128 dB ensuring clean recording even with quieter sources. Individually switchable 48 V phantom power allows operation with condenser microphones without external power supplies.
One of the key features of the EVO 4 is automatic input level control. Both inputs support automatic gain adjustment, which analyzes the input signal and sets the optimal level without clipping. This is especially useful for quick recordings, podcasts or streaming, where there is no time for manual calibration. Manual control via the main encoder remains available for users who prefer full control.
The front panel features a Hi-Z input with 1 MΩ impedance, designed for direct connection of an electric guitar or bass. The maximum input level of up to +10 dBu allows stable operation with passive adapters, while preserving the dynamics and frequency balance of the instrument.
The Audient EVO 4 operates at resolutions up to 96 kHz / 24-bit and uses A/D and D/A converters with a dynamic range of around 113 dBA. The frequency response of the microphone inputs reaches 40 kHz, and the line and Hi-Z inputs – up to 20 kHz, which ensures transparent and uncolored sound during recording and playback. Low THD+N values and high SNR contribute to a clean audio signal without unwanted artifacts.
The output section includes two balanced ¼" TRS monitor outputs for active studio monitors, as well as one ¼" TRS headphone output. The headphone amplifier offers sufficient power to handle various impedances and ensures stable monitoring during continuous operation. A mute function is available for both the individual inputs and the main output.
Visual control is provided by a multi-segment LED indicator that shows input and output levels in a clear and readable manner. The interface connects via USB-C, uses the USB 2.0 protocol and is fully bus-powered, making it suitable for mobile use without an external adapter.
Audient EVO 4 is compatible with macOS, Windows and iOS devices and is designed as a lightweight, compact and practical tool for everyday work, where convenience and technical stability are at the forefront.
