Description
The Audient iD24 MKII is a professional USB audio interface positioned as the most flexible and technologically advanced solution in the compact iD series. It is designed for producers, mix engineers and project studios who need an expanded I/O architecture, hardware integration and maximum conversion quality without the need for a full-size rack interface.
At the heart of the iD24 MKII are two combined XLR/¼" TRS mic/line inputs with preamps based on Audient's console technology. They offer 0 to +58 dB gain, extremely low self-noise with EIN 129 dB A-weighted, and a switchable -10 dB roll-off on each channel. This allows for both sensitive condenser microphones and loud line sources to be used without the risk of clipping. A built-in 100 Hz high-pass filter makes it easy to control low-frequency noise right at the input.
The interface also features a dedicated Hi-Z input for direct connection of a guitar or bass, optimized for instruments with impedances above 500 kΩ. This ensures correct matching and preservation of the dynamics and tonal balance of the instrument when recording directly.
One of the key features of the iD24 MKII is the presence of hardware insert points – two balanced insert send and return connectors. These allow external compressors, equalizers or other analog processors to be directly connected to the signal before A/D conversion, which is extremely valuable for hybrid studio setups.
The Audient iD24 MKII operates at a resolution of up to 96 kHz / 32-bit and uses high-quality A/D and D/A converters with a dynamic range of up to 122 dBA at input and 126.5 dBA at output. The low latency of less than 0.2 ms at 96 kHz allows comfortable operation even with software monitoring. The built-in DSP ensures stable operation and routing control without burdening the computer.
The digital section includes ADAT / S/PDIF input and output, allowing expansion with additional channels or integration with external digital devices. The presence of a Word Clock output ensures stable synchronization when working in more complex studio systems.
The output configuration is significantly expanded with four balanced monitor outputs, allowing for dual monitor operation or alternative routing. The headphone section includes both a ¼" TRS and 3.5 mm output, powered by a powerful amplifier with sufficient headroom for headphones of varying impedance. Visual control is provided by a color multi-segment LED meter.
The Audient iD24 MKII connects via USB-C, is fully bus-powered, and is compatible with macOS and Windows, making it an extremely powerful core for a modern project or hybrid studio focused on quality, flexibility, and long-term development.
