Both lenses in the kit offer a maximum aperture of T2.6 throughout their focal range. The constant aperture makes it easier to work with zoom while shooting, as there is no need to compensate for changes in exposure when switching between different focal lengths. T2.6 allows for a shallower depth of field and provides the ability to separate the subject from the background. The 16-blade iris on both lenses contributes to the smooth rendering of out-of-focus areas and ensures consistent aperture behavior throughout the kit.

Wide and telephoto range

The DZOFILM ARLES ZOOM 25-75MM offers 3x manual zoom and covers the range from 25 to 75 mm, making it suitable for wide-angle and standard cinema compositions. The DZOFILM ARLES ZOOM 65-180MM extends the system to the telephoto range and provides 2.8x manual zoom from 65 to 180 mm. The two lenses allow for quick adaptation of the composition to different subjects and scenes, as the operator can switch from a wider perspective to a tight telephoto frame by changing the lens according to the specific task.

Precise mechanical control

Both lenses are equipped with 0.8 MOD mechanical gears for focus and iris, making them suitable for use with standard cinema follow focus and other lens control systems. The focus ring on both models offers 270° rotation, providing a wide enough range for precise focus adjustment. The zoom mechanism has 100° rotation and is manually operated. Focus scales are available in both metric and imperial systems.

Different minimum focusing distances

The two lenses provide different close-up capabilities. The DZOFILM ARLES ZOOM 25-75MM focuses from 51 cm, measured from the camera sensor, while the 65-180MM offers a minimum distance of 89 cm.
