The EVE Audio EXO 28 active studio monitor is the largest and most powerful model in the EXO series, designed for professional nearfield and midfield monitoring in larger studio spaces and control rooms. Featuring an 8-inch (200 mm) coated aluminum (CAL) woofer and an EXO Precision AirMotion high-frequency driver with GDC waveguide, the monitor offers extended low-frequency response, high dynamics and exceptional high-frequency detail.
The frequency range extends from 37 Hz to 24 kHz, allowing for deep and controlled bass reproduction without the need for a subwoofer in many professional applications. The maximum sound pressure is 126 dB SPL (at 1 m, half space >100 Hz), providing sufficient headroom to operate at high levels with minimal distortion.
The EXO 28 features an OLED display on the rear panel and a SMART Control encoder for level control, input selection and room acoustic correction. The built-in high-resolution A/D converter and powerful DSP processor ensure precise signal processing and fine-tuning.
Connectivity includes XLR and RCA line inputs, coaxial S/PDIF input and output (up to 192 kHz / 24-bit), and an Ethernet RJ45 port for integration with the EVE Control app. Safe fade-in ensures smooth signal start-up, and a front-facing color logo indicates system status and alerts you to overloads or firmware updates.
The housing has a low-diffraction design and rounded edges to minimize unwanted reflections. There are four M6 mounting holes on the bottom for flexible positioning. Dimensions are 276 x 331 x 401 mm and weight – 11.6 kg.
