Description
The Leica SL3 mirrorless camera is equipped with a 60-megapixel full-frame sensor and the latest generation Maestro IV processor and offers 8K video, an improved hybrid autofocus system with PDAF and other improvements over the second version of the model. The Leica SL3 Reporter version has a more discreet design, removing the iconic red logo of the brand, and the body is matte green and partially protected by a scratch-resistant aramid coating.
What are the main advantages of the Leica SL3 Reporter:
8K video (DCI) and ProRes 1080p
The Leica SL3 is the first Leica model in the SL series to record 8K video, with internal recording possible for all resolutions offered by the camera. ProRes recording is only available for Full HD at up to 60 frames per second. The video is accompanied by AAC/LPCM audio.
60MP BSI CMOS sensor and Maestro IV processor
The Leica SL3 Reporter inherits the 60-megapixel full-frame back-illuminated sensor from the Leica M11 and Leica Q3. It is combined with the Maestro IV processor, which has 8GB of buffer memory and L2 technology and is twice as fast as the previous model. This combination allows the SL3 to offer a dynamic range of a full 15 stops, sensitivity up to ISO 100,000, improved autofocus and more.
Hybrid focus system with PDAF
The autofocus system of the new Leica SL3 Reporter camera relies on phase and contrast detection for faster and more precise recognition and tracking of objects, including human eyes, faces, animals, etc. Low-light sensitivity has been improved.

- New improved user interface and different color markers for video and photo settings (yellow and red, similar to the color code of Leitz lenses)
- 5-axis stabilization, etc.
The Leica SL3 Reporter is compatible with the Leica HG-SCL7 multifunctional vertical grip and the Leica DC-SCL6 constant power adapter with USB-C connector.
