Description
The Leica SL3 mirrorless camera is equipped with a 60-megapixel full-frame sensor and the latest generation Maestro IV processor and offers 8K video, an improved hybrid autofocus system with PDAF and other improvements over the second version of the model.
What are the main advantages of the Leica SL3:
8K video (DCI) and ProRes 1080p
The new camera is the first Leica SL model to record 8K video, with internal recording possible - for all resolutions offered by the camera. ProRes recording is only available for Full HD at up to 60 frames per second. The video is supplemented by AAC / LPCM audio.
60MP BSI CMOS sensor and Maestro IV processor
The new Leica SL3 camera inherits the 60-megapixel full-frame back-illuminated sensor from the Leica M11 and Leica Q3. It is combined with a Maestro IV processor that has 8GB of buffer memory and L2 technology and is twice as fast as the previous model. This combination allows the SL3 to offer a full 15-stop dynamic range, sensitivity up to ISO 100,000, improved autofocus, and more.
Hybrid focus system with PDAF
The Leica SL3's autofocus system relies on phase and contrast detection for faster and more accurate recognition and tracking of subjects including human eyes, faces, animals, and more. Improved low light sensitivity.

- 3.5mm microphone input and headphone output
- Automatic orientation in Live View for landscape and portrait shooting
- New improved user interface and different color markers for video shooting and photography settings (yellow and red, similar to Leitz lens color code) etc.
The Leica SL3 is compatible with the Leica HG-SCL7 multi-function vertical grip and the Leica DC-SCL6 DC-DC adapter with USB-C connector.
