The new camera offers multiple options for both one-man hobbyist projects and inclusion in professional productions - certified ARRI LogC3 recording (upgradable with DMW-SFU3A software key), Apple ProRes 422 HQ/ProRes 422 and ProRes RAW codecs for 5.7K30 , DCI 4K60p and FHD60p, time-limited recording of DCI 4K60p 4:2:2 10-bit and ProRes RAW HQ video, 12-bit ProRes RAW external recording with Atomos Ninja V and V+, easier shooting with anamorphic lenses, Super-Slow Motion HFR 4K and FHD, numerous control and monitoring options, direct streaming via Wi-Fi, USB and LAN and much more. etc.
The Panasonic GH7 camera can be controlled remotely wirelessly as well as transfer files with ease. Up to 12 Lumix GH7 cameras can be controlled simultaneously with the Lumix Tether app, while being synchronized with the Lumix SYNC app. The USB port supports transfer rates of up to 10 Gb/s, the HDMI port provides recording with an external recorder, and the flash shoe allows the connection of other accessories, such as the Panasonic DMW-XLR2 XLR audio interface. A 3.5mm headphone output enables audio monitoring, and the front panel features a flash sync port that can also be used for timecode I/O with a BNC converter.
