Description
The Rode VideoMic Pro + is a truly focused on-camera microphone designed for use with camcorders, DSLRs, and mirrorless cameras and portable audio recorders as primary and reference sound sources.
Rode VideoMic Pro + uses a supercardioid polar model to focus on the sound in front of it, while muting the sound from the side and back. Its low-noise electronics and sensitive capacitor element deliver more audio from the microphones typically found in cameras and portable recorders. The microphone features a frequency range of 20 to 20 kHz, a sensitivity of -33.6dB re 1 Volt / Pascal, a maximum SPL of 133 dB and a noise level of only 14 dB.
Digital switching lets you instantly capture audio at source, reducing editing time and post output:
2-Stage High Pass Filter to reduce bass frequencies such as traffic noise or air conditioning
3-Stage Gain Control , with + 20 dB function - Designed to improve DSLR or mirrorless sound quality
High Frequency Boost will increase the treble, providing detail and clarity of recording
Safety Channe l ensures that the signal is not cut when unexpected loud noises occur
VideoMic Pro + has an auto-on / off feature that reduces unnecessary battery usage. When connected to the microphone input of a compatible camera, VideoMic Pro + automatically turns on or off in response to the presence or absence of a power supply. The microphone can be powered by a lithium-ion battery, 2 x AA batteries, or continuously via Micro USB.
