Description

The Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art lens is a sagittal coma-corrected ultra-wide-angle prime designed specifically for astrophotography with full-frame L-mount and Sony E-mount cameras.

It is the only non-fisheye lens in the world with a focal length of 14mm and a maximum aperture of f/1.4.

The Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art offers many features and capabilities useful for shooting starry skies and landscapes:

- Tripod mount heel
- Shifted forward center of gravity for stable mounting
- Anti-condensation heater retainer
- Special flap type front cap with locking mechanism and pockets for leaf filters
- Leaf filter holder with bayonet mounting
- Manual focus lock
- Programmable button

The optical scheme of the Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art includes 19 elements in 15 groups, including 1 SLD, 3 FLD and 4 aspherical elements for excellent correction of aberrations and sagittal coma. Special optical coatings eliminate unwanted glare.

The lens body is quality made of lightweight materials such as TSC polycarbonate (a thermally stable composite material with a thermal shrinkage factor close to that of aluminum) and magnesium alloy, and is protected from moisture and dust. The front lens coating repels water and grease.

The fast response linear AF motor (HLA) provides fast, precise and quiet focusing, also suitable for video recording, architectural, landscape photography and interior photography. The option to turn off the aperture control ring steps (de-click) is available.
