Description
The SmallRig 6526 S70 Wireless Microphone with Multi-Device Compatibility (Black) is a dual-channel wireless microphone system designed for recording audio with smartphones, mirrorless cameras, camcorders, and computers. Thanks to the included USB-C and 3.5 mm receivers, the same system can be used with different devices, without the need to purchase separate versions or use adapters. This makes it easier for photographers, videographers, and content creators who shoot with more than one camera.
The recording is done at 48 kHz / 24-bit, which provides enough detail for professional editing and sound processing. This allows the voice to be reproduced naturally, without compression and loss of fine details, which is especially important in interviews, documentary productions and corporate video.
The system offers three noise reduction modes that can be selected according to the recording environment. When working in a quiet room, the natural sound of the voice can be preserved as much as possible, while when shooting on the street or during events, the influence of ambient noise is reduced. In addition, the five gain levels allow the input signal to be adjusted to the voice volume and distance to the microphone, without the need for subsequent compensation during installation.
When recording with two speakers, three mixing modes allow audio to be organized according to the specific project, whether a shared stereo recording is required or greater control over individual channels during processing. The built-in Auto Limiter monitors the signal level and prevents clipping when the voice volume suddenly increases, reducing the risk of an unusable recording.
For additional processing while recording, the system features nine preset EQ profiles designed for different voice types. This allows the sound to be optimized in-camera or on your smartphone, significantly reducing post-processing time.
The transmitters weigh only 8.6g and have a minimal visible part, making them suitable for productions where the microphone must remain as inconspicuous as possible in the frame. The nitinol alloy clip with shape memory ensures a stable attachment to various types of clothing without deforming them.
Each transmitter runs for up to 8 hours on a single charge, and the included charging case increases the total run time to over 40 hours, allowing the system to be used over multiple shooting days. The kit also includes nine colorful silicone cases that protect the transmitters from scratches and make it easier to distinguish them when working with multiple participants.
