Description
The ADAM Audio T5V studio monitor is an active studio monitor designed for accurate and balanced monitoring in small to medium studio spaces. The model is part of ADAM's T-Series and is aimed at producers, mix engineers and content creators who are looking for a reliable reference for their work without compromising on detail and control across the entire frequency range.
ADAM Audio T5V with a total output power of 70 W, distributed between separate amplifiers for low and high frequencies. The woofer is a 5-inch polypropylene diaphragm, driven by a 50 W Class-D amplifier, which provides tight and controlled bass, suitable for working with electronic music, acoustic instruments and vocals. The high-frequency range is entrusted to an Air Motion Transformer tweeter, powered by a 20 W Class-D amplifier, which offers the characteristic ADAM fast response and clarity in the high frequencies.
The frequency response of 45 Hz to 25 kHz allows for precise reproduction of both the lows and the finest details in the mix. The maximum sound pressure of 106 dB SPL (peak) gives sufficient headroom to operate at higher levels without noticeable distortion, with the total THD remaining within 0.5%.
The cabinet features a bass-reflex design and rear port, which aids low-frequency reproduction and allows for a fuller sound from the compact form factor. The built-in 3 kHz crossover ensures a smooth transition between the two drivers, and the available HF and LF shelf filters allow for fine-tuning the monitor to the acoustics of the room or its positioning relative to walls and the work area.
Connectivity is handled by a balanced XLR input and unbalanced RCA input, allowing for easy integration into both professional studio systems and simpler configurations. The T5V does not rely on digital or network interfaces, emphasizing its focus on a pure analog signal path and robust operation.
The ADAM T5V is supplied as a single monitor and is designed for vertical positioning. With its compact dimensions and relatively low weight, it is a suitable choice for workstations with limited space, while offering sound focused on accuracy and reliability when making mix decisions.
