Description
The Zoom H6 Studio Audio Recorder is a professional portable recorder designed for studio, field and video recording applications where high dynamics, reliability and maximum flexibility are required. The model combines 32-bit float recording with a frequency of up to 192 kHz, which virtually eliminates the risk of clipping and allows the capture of an extremely wide dynamic range without the need for constant manual monitoring of levels.
The recorder features the ability to record up to 8 tracks simultaneously, six independent inputs plus a stereo mix. Four combination XLR/TRS inputs provide connectivity for both microphones and line-level sources, and an additional 3.5mm input allows for quick connection of an external microphone or wireless receiver. All microphone inputs support +48V phantom power, making the H6 fully compatible with professional condenser microphones.
The built-in cardioid stereo microphone capsule (A/B configuration) is suitable for quick reports, ambient recordings, music rehearsals and podcasts, without the need for additional accessories. The high maximum SPL value allows recording of loud sound sources without distortion, and the built-in limiter adds additional protection in dynamic situations.
The Zoom H6 Studio offers timecode support, making it an excellent choice for synchronization with video cameras and post-production workflows. Recording is performed in WAV, BWF and iXML formats, suitable for professional editing and archiving. Support for microSDHC and microSDXC cards up to 2 TB ensures extremely long recording times even at high resolutions.
The device can operate both as a standalone recorder and as a USB multitrack audio interface, making it a versatile tool for studio, streaming and mobile work. The 2-inch color LCD display offers clear visual control, and the built-in speaker is convenient for quick monitoring of recordings on the spot.
Power is extremely flexible via 4 AA batteries, USB or an external adapter, allowing for studio and field work without compromise.
