The Kali Audio LP-UNF is a compact two-way active studio monitor designed to deliver accurate and precise sound in small spaces without compromising on reproduction quality. The system is based on a 4.5-inch woofer with a glass fiber membrane and a 1-inch fabric dome tweeter. The combination provides a wide frequency response from 54 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB) and smooth transitions between frequency bands thanks to a carefully designed digital crossover. Despite its small size, the LP-UNF can reach up to 103 dB SPL peak sound power, which is more than enough for critical listening at close range. The bi-amp Class D amplifier circuit provides 60 W RMS total power (40 W for low frequencies and 20 W for high frequencies), while maintaining low distortion and optimal efficiency.
The DSP processing at the heart of the LP-UNF allows for fine-tuning according to room positioning. Eight predefined “boundary EQ” configurations are included – from desk-top, near a wall, in a corner or freestanding. This allows the sound to be adapted to almost any environment without the need for external adjustments. The rear panel offers flexible input options: USB-C (supports 24-bit/48 kHz direct audio playback), 3.5 mm TRS input and RCA (unbalanced). This allows direct connection to laptops, audio interfaces, consoles and other devices without the need for additional hardware.
The physical construction is compact and stable, with each speaker weighing approximately 3.15 kg and measuring 247 x 165 x 198 mm. The cabinet is made of a reinforced MDF structure with carefully shaped rounded edges and a front-facing bass-reflex port that reduces turbulence and improves low-frequency performance in confined spaces. The system is fully symmetrical – both speakers are active, with separate power supplies, for a better stereo image.
