At the heart of the Focal Shape Twin are two 5-inch Flax cones, made from natural flax fibers, which provide fast response, natural sound and excellent dynamics. Between them is a 1-inch aluminum-magnesium inverted dome tweeter – a Focal patent – that provides ultra-precise detail in the range up to 35 kHz.
With its 3-amplifier Bi-amp configuration (2x 80 W for bass + 50 W for treble), Shape Twin reaches SPL up to 110 dB and maintains a frequency response from 40 Hz to 35 kHz, ensuring a wide spectrum and clarity even in critical mix situations. The side passive diaphragms, instead of traditional bass-reflex ports, ensure better low-frequency behavior, without turbulence, even when placed close to a wall.
An additional advantage are the rear controls for low and high frequencies, which allow you to adapt the sound to the room. The aluminum housing with MDF sides ensures stability and minimal vibrations, and the design is sophisticated and elegant, suitable for both home studios and professional environments.
