The SmallHD INDIE 5 is a professional monitor that combines high image quality with compactness, lightness and intuitive operation. Designed specifically for operators, directors and filmmakers looking for a reliable solution for field monitoring, the INDIE 5 offers a 5-inch LCD display with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080), 1000 cd/m² brightness and 10-bit 4:2:2 Rec. 709 color processing.
The monitor is fully touch-screen controlled, with a slide-lock screen for added security. The monitor supports both HDMI and 3G-SDI inputs and outputs, making it flexible for use with a wide range of cameras and video devices. Additionally, a micro-USB port allows for optional RED camera control, further expanding its on-set functionality.
INDIE 5 uses PageOS 5, the latest version of SmallHD’s operating system. It provides access to a rich set of professional tools: waveform, false color, peaking, pixel zoom, zebra, histogram, vectorscope, RGB parade, as well as the ability to load and manage 3D LUTs via SD card or USB drive. The system allows you to create and save customized pages of settings that can be quickly recalled when needed.
The monitor has an aluminum housing that offers high durability in demanding shooting environments. It is powered by a DC input, allowing flexible use with external batteries and power supplies. It is equipped with four 1/4"-20 mounting threads on all sides, providing flexibility in integration with various accessories and rig systems.
