The Panasonic Lumix S 18-40mm f/4.5-6.3 offers the ability to shoot landscapes and buildings with a natural perspective, as well as nice defocus when shooting at maximum aperture from the minimum focusing distance. Useful for videographers is minimizing focus breathing.
Combined with the Hybrid Zoom feature of compatible Panasonic cameras such as the Lumix S9, the Panasonic Lumix S 18-40mm f/4.5-6.3 provides an 18-120mm equivalent.
The lens housing is protected against dust and water splashes, and can be used without problems in low temperatures.
