Description
The Pentax 17 film camera is an all-new model based on the brand's rich history in film photography. The Pentax 17 is equipped with a non-interchangeable lens and shoots 17x24mm frames (halves) on 35mm film, thus one film provides twice as many pictures that are vertically oriented.
Easy to use film camera
The Pentax 17 is an easy-to-use point-and-shoot camera that is equipped with precise automatic exposure. The main controller has two modes - Flash On - with Program Auto and Slow-sync modes with settings for the built-in flash - and Flash Off with Program Auto, Bulb and Slow Shutter modes, as well as the special Bokeh mode, which prioritizes using the maximum aperture for a pleasant and effective defocus. A fully automatic Auto mode is also available, which chooses whether to use flash or not.
A quality fixed lens
The built-in lens of the Pentax 17 film camera has a fixed focal length - 25mm f/3.5. Pentax's state-of-the-art anti-reflective HD coating is used for excellent clarity and contrast. The lens has a thread for 40.5mm diameter filters, and the light meter is built into the lens, ensuring that it will read any necessary exposure correction depending on the filter in place. Several focus settings are available:
- Macro (Macro/Flower): 0.25 m
- Detail (Close-Up/Knife & Fork): 0.5 m
- Human figure (Single Person): 1.2 m
- Two People: 1.7 m
- Group photo (Group of People): 3 m
- Infinity (Mountain/Infinity): ∞
The modes are marked with icons on the lens body, and the corresponding distances - below it. The vertically oriented viewfinder has frames for normal framing and for framing in macro mode.
A CR2 type battery compartment is located under the body grip of the Pentax 17 film camera. The camera is not compatible with rechargeable batteries.
