The optical scheme of the Sigma 28-45mm f/1.8 DG DN Art consists of 5 SLDs and 3 aspherical elements that correct various aberrations. Axial chromatic aberration, which is particularly noticeable with large aperture lenses, is completely suppressed and the lens delivers clear images with minimal coloration from sharply focused details to large, smooth bokeh. To minimize flare and ghosting, the Sigma 28-45mm f/1.8 DG DN Art uses Nano and Super Multi-Coat for clear, rich images in all lighting conditions.
The minimum focal length is 30cm throughout the zoom range, with a 1:4 reproduction ratio that provides excellent close-up capabilities.
Internal zoom maintains size and center of gravity for trouble-free gimbal handling, focus breathing is minimized, HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) focusing is fast, precise and quiet, and optional aperture control ring to “de-click” allows fine and smooth adjustment during video shooting.
