The Sony A7CR (ILCE7CR) mirrorless camera is a compact model with serious capabilities. The A7C R is equipped with a full-frame back-illuminated sensor and 61 effective megapixels combined with an AI processor and BIONZ XR processor.
61MP Exmor R CMOS full frame sensor
The Sony A7CR's 61-megapixel Exmor R CMOS full-frame sensor is the same as the Sony A7R V and, combined with the BIONZ XR processor, delivers clear images with minimal noise levels and a dynamic range of 15 stops, burst shooting at up to 7fps and ISO 100-32000 (50-102400).
BIONZ XR processor
The new processor offers up to 8x better performance than previous generations of processors used by Sony, resulting in faster performance, excellent image quality, wide dynamic range and excellent handling of the camera's AI functions.
Autofocus based on artificial intelligence
The Sony A7CR camera is equipped with a fast hybrid autofocus system with an AI processor. The system uses 693 phase detection focus points that cover 79% of the sensor (100% of the APS-C crop area). Thanks to AI processing, the autofocus precisely recognizes and tracks different objects in real time. Real-time Recognition AF works with the most frequently photographed subjects:
- People - tracks head and body position for better portrait shots. Focusing on the eyes has been greatly improved thanks to the fact that Real-time Eye AF now also takes into account the person's posture. This allows the Sony A7CR to continue tracking the correct subject even in cases where someone else walks between the camera and the tracked subject.

The Sony A7C R offers an ultra-high-resolution imaging mode that captures 16 consecutive sensor-shift photos that can be assembled into a single 240.8-megapixel image (19008 x 12672) via Sony Imaging.
Improved ergonomics, easier control and seamless connectivity
The new camera offers an additional controller on the front of the body and an improved menu for intuitive control.
The Sony A7C R features USB output for PC control and live streaming, 3.5mm headphone output, Micro-HDMI (HDMI Type D) output, as well as 2.4 / 5 GHz Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless connectivity.
The main display is 3" in size and rotates fully for easier work in front of the camera, and the electronic viewfinder has 0.7x magnification and 100% frame coverage at a resolution of almost 2.36 million dots.

The FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II also uses two spherical ED (extremely low dispersion) elements and two Super ED spherical elements, which significantly reduce chromatic aberrations without mixing colors in the shadows.
