The Nikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S lens is a lightweight super-telephoto model with a fixed focal length designed for handheld shooting.
Weighing just 1470g (including tripod collar), the Nikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S is the lightest 600mm lens in its class. Together with the low weight, the near-mount center of gravity and optical image stabilization with up to 5.5 stops of compensation (6 when used with cameras with Synchro VR support) make the model a suitable choice for handheld shots despite the long focal length.
For an even longer focal length, the NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S can be combined with Nikon Z teleconverters without loss of resolution (1.4x zoom to 840mm and 2x zoom to 1200mm with Nikon Z TC-14 and Nikon Z TC respectively -20).
The NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S's autofocus is both precise, fast and quiet, which is especially important when shooting wildlife and video.
The lens has L-Fn buttons that can be assigned various functions, as well as the control ring, as well as a button to save the autofocus parameters for quick and convenient operation.
