The Calibrite ColorChecker Studio Spectrophotometer (X-Rite i1Studio) is a combined device aimed at professional photographers and graphic designers, as well as all those who work in a closed loop - from shooting through digital processing to printing or distribution in electronic format.
With a universal tool, you can calibrate your desktop monitor / laptop and printer to process and print the correct colors. The device comes with a standalone software version ccStudio, created by X-Rite and based on the software standard in the world of color calibration and profiling - X-Rite i1Profiler.
With its help you can perform three different types of calibration operations, which usually require separate devices:
- calibration of LCD monitors and projection devices
- color profiling of RGB / CMYK printers
- Spot color scanning in RGB, CMYK and CIELAB format
If you print images on different types of paper, Calibrite ColorChecker Studio allows you to generate color profiles for each of them with just 2 pages with a total of 100 color elements. You can optimize the results to reproduce specific colors, skin tones, black and white, etc.
If you like a certain color and want to use it or need to work with a client without knowing the values of the colors he has selected, you can use Calibrite ColorChecker Studio to scan the corresponding color and extract its value in LAB format. The device can scan spot colors from virtually any opaque surface.
