Description
The Sony ECM-W3 is a compact wireless microphone system with two transmitters with built-in microphones and one receiver. Suitable for interviews, video and streaming, the system is compatible with Sony cameras with the Multi Interface accessory shoe.
The Sony ECM-W3 system supports recording of both analog and digital audio signals in both mixed and separate channels for maximum post-production flexibility. The receiver is ultra-compact and has 3.5 mm TRS and USB-C output ports.
The devices communicate with each other via Bluetooth 5.3 from a distance of up to 150m. The Bluetooth LC3plus codec provides low power consumption and low latency while maintaining high sound quality.
The dual-channel receiver with MI Shoe can wirelessly connect, charge and stream audio to compatible Sony cameras.
The transmitters have built-in digital MEMS microphones with a high signal-to-noise ratio to capture clear sound with low noise. You can eliminate distortion even further by using the built-in noise cut and low-cut filters . They use digital signal processing to remove interference and reduce unwanted low-frequency noises such as wind, climate systems and vibrations.
Every component in the Sony ECM-W3 has a built-in lithium-ion battery, and the transmitters can work for up to six hours on a full charge.
LED indicators provide information on the status of communication between components and battery levels. The receiver and transmitters are moisture and dust resistant for outdoor shooting, and in keyed windshields reduce wind noise.
