Description
The Sony A6700 (ILCE-6700) mirrorless camera is a compact model with an APS-C crop sensor that inherits technologies and features from the Sony Cinema Line camcorder series and the Sony A7 full-frame camera series.
The Sony A6700 is equipped with a 26-megapixel backlit Exmor R CMOS sensor and a BIONZ XR processor that provide light sensitivity in the ISO 100-32000 (50-102400) range, excellent color reproduction, low noise levels, a large dynamic range of over 14 stops and continuous shooting at up to 11 fps with AF and AE.
The model captures 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 XAVC HS / XAVC SI video at up to 120 frames per second with 6K oversampling, as well as FHD video at up to 240 frames per second. At a frame rate of 30 frames per second, the A6700 can record 4K video continuously for 2 hours.
A host of technologies and features inherited from Sony Cinema Line professional camcorders are available - S-Cinetone, S-Log3, S-Gamut3, custom LUTs and more.
The Sony A6700's autofocus system relies on 759 phase-detection points (495 points when shooting video) and AI support for object recognition and tracking, including Auto-Framing.
The new camera offers multiple options for capturing and storing photos, including 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 HEIF format, Compressed and Lossless Compressed RAW, and the AI processor provides better rendering of human skin tones, better white balance and better results when shooting against the background.
The A6700's moisture- and dust-proof body is equipped with an additional front control wheel under the trigger and a deeper grip for easier and more comfortable operation.
There's USB UVC/UAC output for streaming, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi for easy file sharing, 3.5mm headphone and external microphone ports, and a Multi Interface shoe for accessories.
The Sony A6700's battery provides up to approximately 570 photos / 120 minutes of video recording, and the camera can also be powered via USB.
