Sony FE 50mm f / 1.2 GM is a super bright fixed fixed focal length lens designed for Sony full frame cameras and camcorders.
The lens has a classic focal length and compact size, which makes it particularly suitable for both portrait photography and everyday use for street, documentary and even landscape photography.
The large maximum aperture allows operation in low light conditions and precise focus depth control, and the all-new design with 11 rounded elements ensures a smooth and natural bokeh.
The optical scheme of the lens consists of 14 elements in 10 groups, including three XA elements (extremely aspherical) to minimize aberrations, excellent sharpness throughout the frame and smooth defocus.
The body of the Sony FE 50mm f / 1.2 GM is protected from moisture and dust, and the front element is treated with a fluorite coating that protects against dirt. There are two focus control buttons - to quickly switch the focus mode and a focus hold button, which can also be reprogrammed.
The four autofocus motors of the Sony FE 50mm f / 1.2 GM provide fast and precise focus, and the focus is quiet enough to be suitable for video recording. For the same purpose, there is the option of stepless diaphragm control.
