The Sony SEL 16-55mm f / 2.8 G is a zoom lens with wide to short telephony with a constant f / 2.8 range of light developed for mirrorless cameras with Sony removable optics.
The large maximum aperture throughout the zoom range allows for good control of the sharp space in the frame and makes the lens particularly suitable for low light conditions.
The optical circuit, which features four aspherical and three ultra-low dispersion elements, corrects aberrations and geometric distortions, while the Nano AR coating improves contrast by reducing reflections when operating in adverse light conditions.
The Sony E 16-55mm f / 2.8G is equipped with an XD linear autofocus motor that provides fast, near-silent focusing.
The lens housing is damp and dustproof, and the fluorite coating protects the lens from dirt.
