The Voigtlander 21mm f/1.4 Nokton Aspherical lens is a wide-angle model with a fixed focal length and an impressive aperture of f/1.4, suitable for working in low-light conditions and for fine control of depth of field.
The advanced optical design of the Voigtlander 21mm f/1.4 Nokton Aspherical includes a pair of aspherical elements and three partial dispersion elements that together help suppress spherical and chromatic aberrations for greater sharpness, clarity and more accurate color reproduction. A floating element system is also used to maintain consistent image quality throughout the focus range.
The lens's manual focus allows working with subjects as close as 25cm, and the dedicated Selective Aperture Control System allows selection of a mode in which the aperture control ring moves smoothly and silently, instead of in set steps, to fully meets the requirements of cinema and video recording. The aperture of the Voigtlander 21mm f/1.4 Nokton Aspherical has 12 rounded blades for extremely fine defocus.
