Voigtlander was founded in 1756 in Austria and produced mathematical instruments, fine mechanics, and optical measuring instruments. Since 1999, the Japanese company Cosina has been producing lenses under the Voigtlander brand, owned by the German company RINGFOTO GmbH & Co. ALFO Marketing KG.
