Image stabilizer for 4 steps slower shutter speed
Image stabilizer (4 steps lower shutter speed) - Designed specifically for the lens focal length range - prevents blurry images that may occur during shooting without a tripod or at a slow shutter speed. Auto Panorama recognition of the camera provides effective tracking of moving subjects and since the image stabilization system is built into the lens, the results are visible through the viewfinder during frame composing.
Two UD elements
Chromatic distortion is almost completely eliminated by using two UD elements for optimum image quality and sharpness.

Fast and quiet autofocus
The ultrasonic annular USM motor uses vibration with ultrasonic frequency to ensure extremely fast and almost silent autofocus. High-speed processor and optimized AF algorithms make autofocus even faster. The excellent holding torque ensures precise reaching of the focus point without going beyond it. Manual electronic focus is available at any time without the need to turn off the autofocus mode.
