The DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor is a professional video production monitor that combines a 7-inch touchscreen display, wireless video receiver, recorder, and remote control functions. The display has a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1500 cd/m², making it easy to monitor the frame both in the studio and on a set with strong ambient light. The wide color gamut, protective glass, and included hood contribute to more comfortable work, and the on-screen interface displays important shooting information without unnecessarily interfering with the image. The built-in receiver allows you to build a compact remote monitoring system without the need for a separate receiver.
The monitor uses DJI O3 Pro wireless technology and works with the compatible DJI Video Transmitter and DJI Ronin 4D Video Transmitter. The system supports live streaming with a resolution of up to 1920 × 1080 pixels at 60 frames per second and a maximum bitrate of up to 40 Mbps. Under appropriate conditions, the maximum range reaches 6 km in FCC mode, measured in Control mode in a direct line of sight and an environment without interference. The connection uses the 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz and DFS frequency ranges, with automatic switching between supported channels helping to find a more suitable frequency in a busy radio environment. The maximum channel width is 40 MHz, and the system is designed for low latency and stable video and audio transmission. The actual range and connection quality depend on regional restrictions, obstacles, radio interference and the configuration used.
The DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor offers tools for precise control of focus, exposure, and composition. Peaking highlights areas of sharp focus, zebra markings aid in exposure assessment, and false color and waveform provide additional information about brightness distribution. Safe zone and framing frame functions make it easy to accommodate different formats and composition requirements. Double-tap to zoom in allows for more detailed focus checks, while color calibration and support for custom 3D LUT profiles ensure a more consistent visual presentation when working with different color settings. Relevant shooting parameters can also be monitored on the screen, helping the operator or director make decisions without constantly approaching the camera.
The built-in microSD card slot allows independent recording and playback of the resulting video. The monitor records H.264 material with a resolution of up to 1920 × 1080 pixels at 60 frames per second, which is suitable for creating reference recordings and quickly reviewing footage on set. With a compatible configuration, recording can be synchronized with the start and stop of recording in the camera. When using multiple monitors, each of them can record or play material independently without interrupting the operation of the other devices. A 3.5 mm stereo jack is provided for audio monitoring, and the HDMI 2.0 Type-A input allows connecting an external video source with an input signal of up to 4K/60fps. The USB-C port on the monitor is used for functions such as a webcam and firmware update.
The device can be included in a wider system for remote control of the camera and stabilizer. When working with compatible DJI accessories, gimbal control, focus and certain camera parameters are supported. The built-in gyro allows the monitor to be used as a motion controller in compatible configurations, for example when working with the DJI Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro. Mirror Control Mode on the compatible Ronin 4D system provides a remote control interface that mirrors the functions of the main monitor, including access to camera and gimbal settings and playback of recorded clips. Compatible handgrips, DJI Master Wheels and other devices from the DJI professional ecosystem can be used for control; the required accessories and cables depend on the specific configuration.
For working with various video sources, the monitor has an HDMI input, and with the compatible DJI Remote Monitor Expansion Plate, it can also provide HDMI and SDI video output. The expansion plate outputs support video up to 1080p/60fps, with the HDMI output also supporting audio. The board itself provides additional connectivity options, including DC-IN and connection to compatible DJI Master Wheels and DJI Force Pro controllers; some functions require an additional cable. The monitor's power supply supports an input voltage of 6.8 to 17.6 V, including CAN input/output for compatible control devices. The kit includes a DJI WB37 battery adapter, NP-F battery adapter, WB37 smart battery, and WB37 USB-C charging hub, which provides several practical options for powering and charging on set.
The compact integrated design reduces the need for separate devices for video reception, monitoring and recording. In Broadcast mode, the DJI Transmission system can distribute a signal to an unlimited number of compatible receivers, which is suitable for large film crews. In Control mode, up to two DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor receivers can operate simultaneously when coordinated remote control is required. The monitor does not support transmitters from other brands: the wireless connection is designed for the DJI Ronin 4D Video Transmitter or DJI Video Transmitter. The device does not have Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, so wireless video connection is via the DJI O3 Pro system, rather than a standard network connection. The included sunshade, battery adapters, battery, charging hub and mounting tool provide the essential accessories to get started.
