The Panasonic Lumix S 20mm f/2.5 is a full-width L-Mount lens with a 20mm focal length and a maximum aperture of f/2.5, designed for Full Frame cameras. The 94° angle of view makes it suitable for landscapes, architecture, interiors, cityscapes and working in situations where wide coverage of the scene is required.
The maximum aperture of f/2.5 allows for plenty of light in a variety of shooting conditions. The lens also features optical image stabilization, which aids handheld shooting and can be useful in lower light.
The minimum focusing distance is 17.98 cm, and the maximum magnification reaches 0.15x. This allows shooting from a relatively close distance, while maintaining the wide perspective of a 20 mm focal length.
The optical design includes 11 elements in 9 groups, and a 7-blade rounded aperture contributes to smoother rendering of out-of-focus areas. The lens uses autofocus and is designed for full-frame cameras with L-Mount.
With a diameter of 6.5 cm and a length of 4.1 cm, the lens is relatively compact, and the weight of 142 g makes it convenient for long-term work and mobile photography configurations. The front filter thread is 62 mm.
