Description
The Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X headphones are open dynamic headphones designed for listening to music and audio content with natural sound and wide spatial representation. The open design allows air and sound to pass freely through the headphone housing, creating the feeling of a wider soundstage. This design is suitable for listening in a quiet home environment where isolation from ambient noise is not a top priority.
The headphones feature 53mm dynamic drivers that reproduce a frequency range of 5 Hz to 30,000 Hz. The wide range allows for the reproduction of both low frequencies and details in the mid and high registers. The large diameter of the drivers provides a basis for balanced presentation of different musical genres and audio tracks, while the open design contributes to a spatial feeling when listening.
Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X have a sensitivity of 100 dB/mW and an impedance of 38 ohms. These parameters determine the electrical characteristics of the headphones and their interaction with the audio source. The model can be used with compatible devices equipped with a standard 3.5 mm audio output. The actual sound level depends on the power of the source and its settings.
The maximum input power is 700mW, which is the maximum electrical power that the headphones can accept according to the specification. The design weighs 265 grams, which allows for a relatively light wearing feel for headphones with large drivers and an open housing. This makes them suitable for extended listening at home or in the workplace, when it is important that the headphones remain comfortable to use.
The model is equipped with a 3-meter cable, which provides freedom of movement around the audio equipment or computer. The cable ends with a gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack, suitable for standard audio outputs. A detachable 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm (1/4 inch) adapter is included, which allows connection to compatible amplifiers, mixers and other devices with a larger audio jack.
The Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X are suitable for listeners looking for open-back headphones with large dynamic drivers, a wide frequency range, and a long cable. However, the open-back design leaks sound and doesn't provide significant isolation from the environment, so the model is best suited for quiet rooms, not noisy places or situations where discretion is needed.
