The Audio-Technica ATW-1422 Microphone System is a digital wireless microphone system designed for two presenters, performers or participants in presentations, interviews and events. The set includes two handheld microphones with built-in transmitters and a receiver that provides reliable wireless audio transmission in the 2.4 GHz range. The system is suitable for use in a variety of professional environments, including conferences, stage performances, corporate presentations and educational events, where simultaneous sound for two people is required.
The two handheld microphones feature dynamic hypercardioid capsules that provide directional voice pickup. This type of polar pattern helps isolate the speaker from background noise and is suitable for situations where clear speech reproduction is required. The transmitters feature an on/off and mute switch, as well as gain adjustment from -10 to +20 dB.
The receiver is made of metal and has a compact design for installation in half a standard 19-inch rack. The automatic scanning system assists in selecting the appropriate operating frequency, and the four removable external antennas can be mounted on the front. The receiver supports up to four audio channels in HD mode, which allows the system to be expanded according to the needs of the event. The specified maximum number of transmitters in one frequency band is 20, which provides the opportunity to build a larger wireless configuration.
The system uses 128-bit AES encryption to protect wireless audio transmission. The receiver has four balanced XLR audio outputs, two Ethernet ports and two RJ12 Link ports. Settings and control can be performed remotely via compatible software. The maximum operating range is up to 60 m in line of sight, with the actual distance varying depending on environmental conditions and radio interference.
The transmitters operate on two AA batteries, which are not included. The stated operating time is up to 18 hours with alkaline batteries and up to 35 hours with lithium batteries, with the actual duration depending on the batteries used and operating conditions. The Audio-Technica ATW-1422 offers a practical solution for wireless sound for two participants, with the possibility of expansion and integration into professional audio systems.
