Description
The Smallrig 6777 HawkLock Cage Kit is a protective cage and handheld system for the Sony FX5, combining a stable camera mount with a top handle and multiple mounting options for professional video accessories. The kit includes an XLR Handle Extension, which allows for more practical use with the camera's original XLR handle.
The cage is designed to protect the Sony FX5 body, using a 1/4"-20 mounting screw to secure the camera. The Detachable Top Plate allows for more flexible configuration, and the design is suitable for both handheld shooting and tripod use.
The Topside Handgrip provides a comfortable and stable grip point for handheld shooting. The handle itself features additional mounting points, a NATO rail, and a Cold Shoe, allowing for expansion of the configuration with various accessories.
The cage features multiple 1/4"-20 and anti-twist 3/8"-16 threads located on the top and sides. This allows for mounting of monitors, microphones, lights, boom arms, and other components. Additional mounting points are also available on the top handle.
The configuration includes a NATO rail on the side and another on the top of the cage, as well as a NATO rail on the top handle. There are also two Cold Shoe mounts available – one on the cage and one on the handle.
The included HDMI Cable Clamp secures the cable to the cage and limits its movement when using an external monitor or other HDMI device, reducing strain on the camera connector.
Smallrig 6777 is made of aluminum alloy, leather, plastic, silicone and stainless steel. At 404g, the system provides advanced functionality without adding excessive weight to the camera.
