Description
The Viltrox DC-V1 5.5" Monitor is an external camera and camcorder monitor designed for photographers and videographers who want greater control over composition, focus, and exposure while shooting. The kit offered by B&H Photo Video includes the monitor, lens hood, hot shoe adapter, NP-F550 battery, storage bag, HDMI Type-A to Mini-HDMI cable, standard HDMI cable, USB-C to USB-A cable, and a limited one-year warranty. This equipment allows the monitor to be integrated into various shooting configurations for studio or field work.
The monitor features a 5.5-inch IPS touchscreen display with Full HD resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a brightness of 400 cd/m². The contrast ratio is 1000:1, and the viewing angle reaches 160°, which allows the image to be viewed from different positions. The display reproduces colors in the sRGB and Rec.709 spaces, with a manufacturer-specified coverage of 100% ±3% and 8-bit color depth. Touch control makes it easy to access settings and tools for monitoring the picture.
Viltrox DC-V1 features HDMI 1.4 input and output with a function to transfer the signal to an additional display. Supports input and output video signals up to UHD 4K and DCI 4K at a frequency of up to 30 Hz. Built-in monitoring tools include waveform, histogram, RGB parade, false color, peaking to assist focus, image magnification and image inversion. It also supports loading custom 3D LUT profiles via SD card, which is also used for firmware updates.
Power can be supplied via compatible Sony NP-F series batteries, a USB-C input with parameters 5 V/3 A or a DC input 12–18 V/2 A. The monitor has a 3.5 mm headphone output for monitoring the audio signal and a 1/4" threaded hole for mounting on suitable supports. With dimensions of 165 × 91 × 28.5 mm and a weight of approximately 293 g according to the manufacturer's specification, the device is suitable for use on a camera, cage or separate stand. The included sunshade limits side light falling on the display when working outdoors.
