Description
The SmallRig 6024 "HawkLock" Quick Release Cage for Sony Alpha 7 V / 7R V / 7 IV is a protective cage designed for building professional photography and videography setups. The model uses the patented HawkLock system, which allows for quick mounting and dismounting of compatible accessories, while maintaining full access to all camera controls. The cage features a built-in Arca-Swiss base, HawkLock NATO rail, Cold Shoe mount, QD connector, and multiple mounting holes for building a variety of shooting setups.
The design uses a three-point mounting system that stabilizes the camera with a positioning pin and locking screws, preventing twisting when working with heavier lenses or accessories. Internal protective inserts protect the body from scratches, and precision-crafted openings provide free access to all buttons, control wheels, connectors and the battery compartment without having to dismantle the cage.
The main feature of the model is the HawkLock system, which allows for quick attachment and release of compatible accessories via the HawkLock NATO rail and H38 Arca-Swiss quick-release base. The automatic locking mechanism allows components to be mounted with a sliding motion, without the need for additional tightening, which facilitates work when changing configurations frequently.
The cage offers extensive expansion options via 1/4"-20 mounting threads, ARRI 3/8"-16 positioning holes, a Cold Shoe socket for a microphone or LED light, and a QD connector for attaching a strap. At the bottom, an Arca-Swiss quick-release base is integrated, compatible with Arca-Type tripods and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3 Mini, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4 Mini, RS 4, and RS 4 Pro stabilizers, allowing for quick transitions between handheld, tripod, and gimbal shooting.
Additional convenience is provided by the magnetic hexagon integrated into the base of the cage, which is always at hand when necessary for assembly or adjustment. The opening lid in the battery area also serves as a support for the little finger, improving grip and comfort during prolonged handheld shooting.
