Description
The SmallRig 6037 Cage Kit for DJI Osmo Action 6 is a kit designed to improve the handheld shooting experience of the action camera and provide more possibilities for using additional accessories. In addition to the protective cage, the kit includes a side handle, a silicone lens protector, a trigger control button, and a wrist strap, thus providing a ready-made solution for daily shooting and field work.
The cage is designed to not restrict access to the camera's two-way quick release system. This allows the use of both the original DJI adapter and SmallRig two-way adapters without the need to disassemble the cage when changing mounting methods. This makes switching between different configurations much faster, especially when working with a tripod, selfie stick, or stabilizer.
The included side grip is secured to the cage with screws, ensuring a secure connection and eliminating unwanted loosening during operation. This improves control of the camera when shooting handheld, tracking shots and low angles, where a more secure grip directly affects image stability.
To expand the configuration, the cage features a Cold Shoe mount that allows the addition of an external microphone, compact LED lighting, or wireless audio receiver. At the base of the handle is an integrated 1/4"-20 mounting hole with anti-twist locks, through which the kit can be directly mounted on a tripod, monopod, selfie stick, or other support system.
The kit also includes a shutter release button that mounts to the Cold Shoe rail of the grip and allows for more convenient camera control while shooting. The additional wrist strap provides greater security when working on the move, reducing the risk of dropping the camera when shooting on the street, during sports or when working in more dynamic environments. For protection during transportation, a silicone lens protector is also included, which protects the front lens from dust, scratches and accidental impacts.
