The Olympus DS-9100 Standard Kit audio recorder is a professional digital voice recorder designed for recording interviews, dictations, meetings, medical documentation and professional voice processing. Recording in DSS, LPCM and MP3 formats
The DS-9100 supports recording in DSS, LPCM and MP3 formats, allowing for flexible operation according to specific needs. The DSS format is optimized for professional dictation and transcription workflows, while the LPCM mode provides high-quality stereo recording with maximum detail. The MP3 format is suitable for more compact files and easier sharing.
The recorder supports bit rates from 64 to 128 kbps and sample rates from 12 kHz to 22.05 kHz depending on the selected recording mode.
Up to 94 hours of recording
The Olympus DS-9100 offers up to 94 hours of PCM stereo recording, making it suitable for long interviews, conferences, meetings and continuous daily work without the need for frequent file transfers.
Built-in stereo microphones
The model uses built-in stereo microphones with omnidirectional directionality to capture clear and natural sound from various directions. The frequency range of 50 Hz to 15 kHz ensures good voice clarity and detail when recording.
Manual adjustment of microphone sensitivity is available via Manual SENS mode for more precise control according to the specific recording environment.
Voice-activated recording and One-Touch recording
The DS-9100 supports voice-activated recording, which automatically starts when voice is detected and stops when silence occurs. This makes it easier to work with interviews and dictations and reduces the need for manual control.
There is also a One-Touch Recording button to instantly start recording with just one touch.
LCD display and easy navigation
The recorder features a 2.4-inch LCD display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels for easy access to settings, files and recording information. The interface is designed for fast and convenient everyday operation.
Built-in memory and SD slot
The Olympus DS-9100 offers 2 GB of internal memory and an SD/SDHC slot with support for cards up to 32 GB for expanding capacity for longer recordings and file archiving.

The model features a 3.5 mm input for an external microphone and a 3.5 mm headphone output, which allows the use of external audio accessories and direct sound monitoring during recording.
