The Samyang AF 14-24mm F2.8 L-Mount is an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras and developed in collaboration with Schneider-Kreuznach. The combination of a wide 14-24mm range, constant F2.8 aperture, and compact design makes it an excellent choice for landscape, architectural, travel, and video photography.
The lens covers the popular ultra-wide range, allowing for the capture of large-scale scenes, interiors and dynamic perspectives. The constant F2.8 aperture ensures stable exposure throughout the zoom range and allows for working in lower light, as well as better control over depth of field.
One of the key advantages is the ability to use standard 77mm filters, a rare solution for such a wide-angle lens. This greatly facilitates the use of ND and polarizing filters in landscape and video work.
A minimum focusing distance of 18cm allows for close-up shots with enhanced perspective and up to 0.26x magnification. This gives you added flexibility for creative wide-angle shots and detail.
The autofocus system uses a Linear STM motor that operates quickly, smoothly and quietly, which is especially useful when shooting video and working with continuous AF. There is an AF/MF switch and focus hold button for quicker access to key functions during shooting.
The construction is protected against dust and moisture, which allows for more relaxed work in outdoor conditions. Despite the brightness and wide zoom range, the lens remains relatively light at 441g, making it convenient for travel, handheld shooting and working with gimbals.
