The SmallRig 5785 RF 05B Portable Zoom Led Video Light is a compact and highly flexible LED video light designed for content creators, photographers, and videographers who are looking for precise control over light in a mobile format. With adjustable color temperature from 1900K to 8000K, high CRI 96 and TLCI 97, it provides accurate and natural colors suitable for both video and photography. The built-in battery and USB-C power supply allow for work anywhere without the need for an external power supply.
One of the main features of the RF 05B is the ability to zoom the light beam in a range of 17° to 65°, which allows both concentrated directional light and wider illumination. This makes it extremely suitable for creative scenes, accent lighting or detailed work. The kit includes a variety of accessories that significantly expand its capabilities, barndoors for scattering control, a diffuser for softening the light, a snoot for highly focused lighting, as well as a special lens for additional beam direction. In addition, 10 gobo patterns are available, which allow the creation of creative lighting effects and textures suitable for artistic shots and stage compositions.
The lamp features a built-in OLED display that provides easy and intuitive control over all settings, including brightness (1–100%) and effects. Preset lighting effects are available that can simulate different situations and add dynamics to the frame.
The housing is made of aluminum alloy and silicone, which guarantees strength and durability during operation. IP65 protection allows use in outdoor conditions, including dust and light rain, which is a serious advantage for mobile productions. The lamp does not have an active cooling system, which means completely silent operation - key when recording video.
The built-in 2600 mAh battery provides up to about 125 minutes of operation at low brightness, and charging via USB-C allows for easy use with a power bank or standard chargers. The maximum power reaches 8W, making it suitable for close scenes and detailed lighting, but not for large spaces.
