Description
The Sirui 1.25X Anamorphic Adapter is an optical adapter designed to give anamorphic cinema look to standard spherical lenses, adding a characteristic widescreen image and specific depth. With a factor of 1.25x, it expands the horizontal field of view and creates cinematic proportions, without the need for a specialized anamorphic lens. It supports a wide range of Sirui anamorphic and spherical lenses, as well as lenses with focal lengths from 42 to 135 mm (Full Frame), making it an extremely flexible solution.
The adapter is compatible with both Sirui's anamorphic series (1.6x and 1.33x) and Jupiter cinema lenses, as well as various spherical lenses for Full Frame, APS-C and Micro Four Thirds systems. This allows for easy integration into different shooting configurations and systems, without the need to change the main lens.
The T2.9 aperture ensures a good balance between light and control while maintaining image quality. The minimum focusing distance of 80 cm allows for closer work, which is important for creative shots.
The mount is mounted via an 82mm rear thread, which ensures a stable attachment to compatible lenses. The 85mm front diameter allows for use with cinema accessories such as matte box systems.
The adapter creates the characteristic anamorphic effect – a wider frame, more pronounced bokeh and a cinematic feel – while maintaining the flexibility of the lens used. This makes it suitable for both experimentation and professional work.
