The Sirui Astra 100mm T1.8 FF AF 1.33X Anamorphic lens is a full-frame anamorphic lens with autofocus and 1.33x compression, designed for a strong cinematic look with a pronounced perspective and excellent separation of the subject from the background. Compatible with Sony E, the model offers a T1.8 aperture, Full Frame coverage (44 mm image circle) and electronic communication with the camera. It is equipped with a 13-blade diaphragm, a minimum focusing distance of 0.7 m and a standard 67 mm filter thread, making it convenient for professional work.
One of the most significant advantages of this model is the presence of autofocus and full body communication, which is rare in anamorphic lenses. This makes the Sirui Astra 100mm significantly more accessible and convenient to use, especially in dynamic scenes, handheld shooting or using a gimbal. Thanks to full electronic communication with the camera, the lens supports standard autofocus modes such as continuous autofocus, face and eye detection, and real-time subject tracking. This provides more precise and reliable focusing and expands the application of anamorphic vision to more flexible and dynamic shooting situations.
The 100mm focal length provides a highly compressed perspective, making it particularly suitable for portraits, detailed shots and cinematic close-ups with clear subject separation. The 1.33x anamorphic factor expands the horizontal field of view (27.4°) while maintaining the characteristic widescreen cinema format. The neutral flare effect contributes to a more natural light behavior without strong color reflections.
The T1.8 aperture allows for low-light shooting and provides a very shallow depth of field. The 13-blade diaphragm creates a smooth bokeh effect and soft transitions between planes. The optical construction of 18 elements in 13 groups ensures good sharpness and control over aberrations.
The minimum focusing distance of 0.7 m allows for close-up shots with high detail, and the 136° focal length ensures precision in both autofocus and manual focus.
