The PGYTECH MantisPod Z tripod is a compact and versatile mini tripod designed for vlogging, mobile videography, and working with action cameras or compact cameras. The design combines a telescopic selfie stick, a stable tabletop tripod, and a flexible positioning system, allowing for use in a variety of shooting situations from static shots to dynamic content on the move.
The model offers a maximum working height of up to 53.3 cm, which allows it to be used both as a compact stand and as a selfie stick for wider shots. The minimum working height is about 18.5 cm, which allows stable positioning on a table, floor or other surfaces when shooting from a low angle.
The MantisPod Z uses a ball head that allows for smooth adjustment of the camera's position. The head provides up to 86° of tilt both vertically and laterally, allowing for precise framing and quick composition changes.
The tripod supports a standard 1/4"-20 thread as well as a 3-prong mount, making it compatible with most compact cameras and smartphone adapters, as well as popular action cameras. This makes it a universal solution for content creators who use a variety of devices.
The telescopic construction includes two sections that lock together with a screw mechanism, ensuring stability when extended. The tripod legs can be folded and used as a handle, allowing for convenient handheld shooting when vlogging or mobile videography.
The MantisPod Z is designed to carry equipment weighing up to 1 kg, making it suitable for action cameras, smartphones, compact cameras, and small mirrorless cameras with lightweight lenses.
