The set Samyang V-AF Full Kit is a complete professional cinema lens kit for Sony E-mount, which includes six V-AF cinema lenses (20mm T1.9, 24mm T1.9, 35mm T1.9, 45mm T1.9, 75mm T1.9 and 100mm T2.3), V-AF Anamorphic Adapter, V-AF Manual Adapter, Lens Station for firmware settings and a hard case. The kit is designed as a complete ecosystem for filmmakers and videographers looking for a compact, lightweight and flexible solution for cinematic production.
One of the main concepts of the V-AF series is the unified design between the individual lenses. The dimensions and weight are as close as possible, which allows for quick change of focal lengths when working with gimbals, drones and stabilizers without the need for re-balancing. This saves time and facilitates the dynamic shooting process.
All lenses are optimized for video work and offer cinematic rendering with smooth transitions between focus and defocus. The 9-blade diaphragm creates soft and natural bokeh, and the T1.9/T2.3 maximum aperture allows for low-light work and greater control over depth of field. The series covers a wide range of shooting scenarios – from ultra wide shots to portraits and detailed cinematic shots.
The V-AF Anamorphic Adapter adds a 1.7x anamorphic squeeze effect with distinctive amber flares and a more organic widescreen look. This allows for a classic cinema look without the need for heavy and expensive anamorphic systems. The V-AF Manual Adapter transforms the series into a more traditional cinema workflow with 300° focus rotation, dual scale markings and 0.8 mod gear for follow focus systems.
For added convenience, the Samyang Lens Station allows for firmware updates and customization of autofocus and aperture settings, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility with new cameras and software upgrades.
Despite its professional capabilities, the system remains extremely compact and lightweight compared to standard cinema solutions, making it suitable for handheld work, gimbals, drones, and mobile cinema productions.
