The Kali Audio WS-12 V2 Active Studio Monitor is a professional active subwoofer designed to provide deep, tight and controlled low-frequency response for studio environments, post-production and music production. Featuring a 12-inch driver and a powerful Class-D amplifier, this model is designed to complement studio monitors with precise and powerful bass reaching down to 23 Hz (-10 dB), making it suitable for both music production and cinema and surround sound applications.
At the heart of the system is a 12” driver with a 2.5” voice coil, optimized for high efficiency and low distortion. The amplifier delivers 500 W RMS and up to 1000 W peak power, allowing for maximum sound pressure of up to 123 dB. This ensures stable operation even at high levels, without compromising control and detail in the low frequencies. The signal-to-noise ratio of 115 dB and distortion below 2% further emphasize the professional class of the model.
The frequency range from 23 Hz to 250 Hz (-10 dB) and the frequency response of 30 Hz – 180 Hz ±3 dB ensure a smooth and precise reproduction in the sub-bass range. The built-in high-pass filter with an adjustable frequency between 50 and 110 Hz (with the possibility of switching off) allows for easy integration with various studio monitors. A 0° / 180° phase is also provided for optimal coordination with the main speakers in the room.
The cabinet is a bass-reflex construction, made of sturdy plywood, which contributes to acoustic stability and minimal resonances. The solid construction and weight of 26.3 kg guarantee stability and reduce unwanted vibrations.
Connectivity includes 2 combo XLR/TRS balanced inputs, a stereo RCA input for unbalanced sources, and 2 XLR outputs for connection to main monitors. There is also a 1/4" input for footswitch control. The power supply is universal – 110–230 VAC, allowing use in different electrical standards.
